My Comments:  I have been reading Sylvan Dell books to my second graders for the past week and they LOVE them.  I told them I was getting this book yesterday and low and behold when I got home it was there, so I read it to them today.  They LOVED it.  We do not have the opportunity to do lots of science, so they listen like there is no tomorrow when I read these books and especially for some reason when I read this book to them.  The illustrations are adorable.  The facts are up to date, and cute cute cute the way they teach the planets in a game-show format.  I know if you have a child from the ages of 5-10, this book would be beneficial and of interest.  The AR level is 4.2, which is a little high for my group of students, but the interest in the content is definitely there, so it is a terrific read aloud.
Giveaway:  If you are interested in a copy of this book, please leave a comment telling me your favorite topic of non-fiction children’s book.  I will use Random.org to choose a winner on Sunday, May 19.  Thank you for your interest!
