My Comments:  This is not a “this is what you eat” diet book.  This is a lifestyle change diet book.  The author wants to help the AARP crowd avoid heart disease, cancer, and diabetes.  He states that 90 percent of people who have type 2 diabetes get so because of obesity.  This book lists foods that are good to eat and foods that are not.  It deals with diet soda, emotional eating, cravings and the healing power of food.  I didn’t really learn anything new from this book, but it’s great to have all this information together in one place.  The author includes  7, 14, and 30 day eating plans.  It also includes some recipes.  This book is a great resource!
