In the final story ot the Inn at Shining Waters, Anna Larson’s granddaughter Sarah is beginning to find her
independence. But her relationship with her parents suffers as a result and she travels away from all that is familiar. While the solace of the river calls Sarah back, surprises await upon her return. Three generations of family heartbreak and disappointments converge at Shining Water
as Sarah finds God right in the center of it all.
My Comments: Great ending to an interesting nostalgic series of stories which seemed true to the time setting.  Forgiveness plays a key roll – the need for it as well as the actual act of forgiving.  People make mistakes – large mistakes and thankfully God provides a beautiful way to remedy that.  Thankfully, Melody Carlson writes an engaging Christian story without being preachy.  The truth is naturally displayed within the story boundaries. I enjoy Anna, Lauren, and Sarah – three women finding their own way.  Sarah frustrated me in this book.  We struggled right along with her and her grandmother.  I admired the restraint and patience  Anna showed throughout.  I thoroughly enjoyed this whole series – very entertaining!
