Summer Fit Learning
Summer Fit workbooks and online resources are part of an ongoing initiative to keep children mentally and physically active while away from school using a unique active and values based approach to summer learning.
Summer Fit Learning is made up of parents, teachers, trainers and athletes committed to preparing children mentally, physically and socially for challenges inside and outside the classroom.
Today’s learning environment can be hard to navigate for children as well as parents and guardians. It is critical to develop a balanced approach to learning that combines traditional book based learning with technology, while at the same time encouraging good character and active lifestyle.

My Comments: I reviewed the Grade 2-3 Workbook and I really liked what I saw. Not only were academics involved, but ACTIVITY was encouraged and ideas were given as well as a tracking page. Ten weeks of activities are outlined in this book. Summer Fit includes daily activities and exercises, core values, downloads for extra challenge in reading, writing, and math, bicycle safety and safety rules, reading and math activities based on national standards, online videos to show children how to properly perform exercises, and exercises which progress in difficulty. If I still had children at home, this would be an ideal book to help keep them constructively busy. The workbook is colorful, user friendly, and the text and illustratons are appropriate for the age group (grades 2-3). I like the interactivity between the book and the internet. If you are looking for something for your child to do this summer, I would recommend these books. They come in grade levels K – 5.
