Sally and Amy here!

We are very excited to be participating in the read-a-thon. Truthfully, 24 hours of reading sounds like bliss.

Sadly, Sally has a hair appointment that simply couldn’t be rescheduled. And we plan to go to church Saturday night. But that is only an hour. The rest of the time we’ll be reading away, chugging down Diet Mt. Dew (Amy) and munching on veggies. And maybe sneaking in a plate of nachos. Maybe.

Amy’s biggest goal is to read Twilight. She has heard a lot about it and she loves vampires. She also loves romances. This should be good. In addition, she has several other YA books that need to be reviewed. So…that’s the plan!

Sally has a stack of middle grade and children’s books that were sent for review but look like good ones to pass onto the granddaughters. Her goal is to finish these and assess their suitability for her classroom.

We will definitely be updating the blog with our progress. Our goal is ten books read…five each.

Please consider sponsoring our reading by donating to Compassion International’s Global Food Crisis Fund.

Sounds like you have a good plan! And the hair appt may be a really nice break for your eyes.

I’ll be cheering you two on along the way today, so I’ll be back later to see how you’re doing.

How fun that you’re doing this together!!
