My eldest daughter's favourite is Farmer Boy, she just adores the depictions of farming (we live on an 73 acre homestead). Neat feature post! I thoroughly enjoyed it. I, too, have such wonderful childhood memories of the Little House on the Prarie Series. Some of the most memorable times in early elementary school was the time after lunch where the teachers read to us. My fourth grade teacher, who scared me to death, gave me The Long Winter for Christmas. I still treasure that book because it said to me that he liked me. It's the only gift a teacher gave me that I remember. My oldest daughter will be entering kindergarten soon. It won't be long before they both will be old enough for me to read these books to them. I cannot wait for that time. I know that they will love those books as much as I do. Great post and I love this feature to The Friendly Book Nook! Thank you so much for this post.
