I enjoy fiction, especially family sagas which immerse me in their trials and tribulations. An author whose writing and books I enjoy greatly is Penny Vincenzi and Jennifer Donnelly. I also appreciate suspense and mystery. My favorite authors whose books I have read are Deborah Crombie, Daphne DuMaurier, Philippa Gregory and Taylor Holden. My reading interests are more contemporary than chicklit types.

My favorite is romance -and I read almost exclusively in that genre. Otherwise, I’m less picky. Historical, contemporary, paranormal, comedy, I’ll read them all. I’m just not as into mystery/thrillers. Maybe because I get enough real world crime things.

Honestly it’s whatever I’m in the mood for that day, but if I had to choose a favorite genre (which I guess I do) it would have to be real life drama. I get hooked to the books that have me guessing what’s going to happen next or that draw me into the characters because they are so realistic. My favorite recent author is Jodi Picoult for that reason.

Goodness, I don’t think I could choose ONE favorite genre….. I’ve been reading a lot of Christian nonfiction lately. Have always enjoyed mysteries. Like police procedurals, some court fiction, psychological suspense.

Lots of favorite authors. Just off the top of my head: Robert B. Parker, Jonathan Kellerman, Janet Evanovich, Jefferson Bass, Charles Martin…I could go on and on.

My favorite is historical fiction (usually 17-18th century) although I’ll read just about anything. Favorite author is Diane Gabaldon. I love any book that has great character development.

I like every genre except romance and spy novels. I am currently reading Elizabeth Berg and rereading Anne Tylers novels. I guess that would count as chic lit.

  7. Breanna Says:

Well I basically love fiction and romance. I like way too many authors to list a favorite really. I feel mean choosing a favorite, lol. Most all of the books I have read are amazing.

  8. Erin Says:

I will read just about anything but my favorite would have to be historical fiction. I have been on a Tudor kick lately!
